Founded in 1980, the Lewis and Clark Chapter now covers St. Clair, Monroe, Randolph, Washington, Jefferson, and Clinton counties in Illinois. The Lewis and Clark Chapter of the Illinois Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the patriots who fought for American independence. We are proud to honor their courage and celebrate our nation’s rich history.
Our mission is to promote patriotism, preserve the history of the American Revolution, and foster education about our nation's founding principles.
We organize historical reenactments, educational programs, community service projects, and award ceremonies to honor exceptional citizens and veterans.
